Incredibly disappointed in my recent experience. I made an appointment for my toddler, during the initial appointment it was determined she may have influenza and they would swab and respond with the results. I called on both Saturday and Sunday and was advised they could not tell me the results and would need to wait for the doctor to come in on Monday to tell me. Meanwhile I have now had an incredibly sick child for more than 48 hours. When I rang on Monday to get the results I was informed I would need to make another appointment and that I would not be guaranteed to be bulk billed. So despite the fact I had an appointment already they now want me to PAY to get the results of a test they did. I'm shocked, and personally find this fairly negligent. I do not understand why I should have to pay again to simply get the result. Prior experiences the doctor would simply ring me. I'm not exactly sure where to to escalate this, but I find it borderline negligent. Especially for those less fortunate who may not have the means to pay.

Dr Sarah I can't thank you enough for the special, excellent care you provided. I was blessed that you were there to treat my daughter with the emergency you were presented with. Background Was having an experience with a new doctor who is still under supervision. I have anxiety and panic disorder, she hasn't learnt to swan yet, and unfortunately stated she had a concern about the wound which led to me panicking based on what it looked like. It could be an episode of Seconds From Disaster. Dr Brodsky assisted with the matter. He was incredible and resolved the situation by calming me about the wound with clear explanation/advice. It took Brodsky less than one minute to resolve the situation. Review Due to the circumstances, my anxiety escalated to an extreme and caused inappropriate behaviour on my behalf for which I am sorry. We all need to learn and I definitely need to learn to take a breath. Dr Brodsky came into the consultation and resolved the matter within a minute. He was truly excellent. SIA is not my usual practice, I used to attend but switched back in 2019ish (except where necessary). For example, I only attended due to an injury occurring on Sunday afternoon when my normal practice was shut. However, Dr Brodsky treated my injury quickly and efficiently. If necessary to return to SIA, I would again see Dr Brodsky without hesitation. I would also recommend Dr Brodsky to anyone, especially someone with severe anxiety. Dr Brodsky was warm, kind and genuinely great - a fab dr for anxiety sufferers.

Well no one likes going to a Dr. But the receptionist at the front are kind, gentle in their demeanour and extremely helpful. This is not my usual clinic and I won’t name them as you are miles apart in customer service. Dr P is an incredible surgeon that actually has a sense of humour. He had removed “things” from my face before and now I think I’m more beautiful than ever.. Anyway that’s what he said. Haha well done to you all at SIA Essendon north. Serendipity
